La tesis realiza un estudio comparativo de la situación de los derechos de la infancia relacionados con la posibilidad del disfrute del derecho a la educación en Centroamérica, así como de una serie de elementos contextuales y estructurales que, desde una perspectiva de bienestar y derechos humanos, contribuyan a ofrecer un modelo de análisis explicativo, holístico e integral, de la situación del derecho a la educación de la infancia en Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica y Panamá y permitan orientar y establecer posibles vías de actuación futura en materia de derechos de la infancia. Sociology and history have maintained a discontinuous relationship and a permanent discussion. Classical sociology is intrinsically historical, but after the first theoretical synthesis the dialogue between both disciplines was extinguished and it has often been necessary to defend the need for the historical view in sociology from the margins of the dominant paradigm.
